SDU Supercomputer challenge - Beginners

General information

We will use slides, which I will put online after use same day. There will be e-learning material available, equivalent to the subjects we’ll go through during Workshop 2.

I suggest you do the following before attending first workshop(v2.1):

• install Python

  Windows and Mac OSX:

  Go to python.org. In the menu choose “Downloads” and choose “Python 2.7.9”. Install.

  Linux (Ubuntu):

  Open a terminal and write:

   sudo apt-get install python python-pip
  

• install PyCharm

  Windows, Mac OSX and Linux(Ubuntu):

  Go to jetbrains.com, choose your system platform and choose “download”(community version)

We will aim to get through as much as possible during workshop v2.1 and v.2.2, such that we can “play around” with Python and do some learn-by-doing in workshop v2.3.
